2024-25 Graduate Catalog
Degree Candidacy
Each student admitted to a master’s or doctoral program must receive degree candidacy after completing no less than nine to no more than eighteen credits, as specified by their program(s). Some departments have additional requirements for degree candidacy.
Students must consult the program coordinator and the program handbook for a listing of these requirements. The student’s minimum grade point average for degree candidacy may be set higher than the overall minimum program required GPA by a program; however, it cannot be set lower than the overall 3.0 grade point average per requirement of the Office of Graduate Education and Academic Planning.
