Teacher Certification

A college graduate with an earned nonteaching baccalaureate degree who wishes to complete the requirements for Instructional Level I Certification must apply as a second bachelor’s degree student. A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and successful PAPA scores are required for consideration for admission. Following admission to the program, applicants will be required to meet all requirements of the 3-Step Process for Teacher Education as they proceed. A Pennsylvania-certified teacher who wishes to add a new area of certification may apply to the Office of Extended Studies for admission as a postbaccalaureate student.
