BIOL 641 - Population and Community Ecology Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Introductory course in ecology or permission of instructor. Description: The ecology of animal and plant populations, including the study of life tables and demography, population growth and regulation, and the evolution of life history traits. Community ecology considers the interactions among populations such as competition, predation, and mutualism and how such interactions control the composition of a community.
