CHEM 799 - Internship Experience

Credits: 4
Restriction: The student must have a minimum of 12 IUP graduate credits earned and a minimum 3.0 grade point average.

Description: Students must complete a 3-6 month internship with a company sponsor. Students must initiate and secure an internship with the industrial sponsor with guidance from the Graduate PSM Coordinator for internship sites. The work will focus on solving a technical problem of interest to the corporate sponsor and should meet the outcomes defined by the student’s advisory committee. The internship work may be completed in whole, or in part, in residence with approval of the student’s committee. An internship committee will be comprised of the student’s academic advisor, one additional faculty member, an industry supervisor and the dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
