ANTH 420 - Environmental Anthropology

Description: Introduces environmental anthropology, the study of the relationship between the natural environment and human social and cultural life. Il­lustrates the importance of understanding human-environment interactions in studying contemporary issues in global development, and in investigating the past. Explores major analytical and methodological approaches in envi­ronmental anthropology, including ecological anthropology, ethnoecology, political ecology, and environmental justice.
