MATH 121 - Calculus I for Natural and Social Sciences Class Hours: 4 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 4
Prerequisite: MATH 105 or MATH 110 or appropriate placement test score or permission of the Mathematical and Computer Sciences Department chairperson. Description: A review of elementary functions, including logarithmic and exponential functions. Natural and social science majors are introduced to the central ideas of calculus, including limit, derivative, and integral. Applications to natural and social sciences are emphasized. Note: May not be taken after successfully completing a calculus course without written Mathematical and Computer Sciences Department chairperson approval.
