Description: Explores the major writings, writers, issues, technical vocabulary, and critical methods in literary, textual, and cultural studies theory; acquaints students with how such theoretical methods affect the way literary and cultural texts are read, studied, and taught; and enables the students to recognize and engage in theoretical praxis of various kinds.
