ENGL 323 - Teaching Literature and Reading in the Secondary School

Description: Introduces the theory and research on teaching literature and reading in the middle and secondary school. Explores a socio-psycholinguistic approach to reading, reader response theory, and classroom-based research on teaching literature. Engages students as both readers and teachers through practice-based experiences that emphasize genre awareness and visual literacy.
