RESP 430 - Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3
Prerequisite: Respiratory Care majors; Grade of C or better in RESP 329 and RESP 336 Description: Focuses on lung volumes, capacities and measurement. Discusses diagnostic studies, including electrocardiography, equipment and procedures necessary for determining the presence and extent of pulmonary diseases. Examines the causes, recognition and treatment of ECG arrhythmias with interventions and supportive devices. Addresses additional diagnostic methods such as polysomnography, imaging, bronchoscopy and rehabilitative evaluation methods.
