APMU 152 - Organ II

Prerequisite: Primary Area: For the initial semester of study, the student must audition and be accepted to the performance area (e.g., piano). For subsequent levels, the student must earn a C or better in the preceding course.

 

Secondary Area: For the initial semester of study, the student must audition and be placed into applied music. For subsequent levels, the student must earn a C or better in the preceding course. This prerequisite also applies to students who enroll in the Music Minor. 

 
Description: Primary Area: Up to eight semesters of one-on-one instrumental, vocal, or composition instruction for music majors in their primary performance area. Students in the BFA in Music Performance program receive 60-minute lessons on a weekly basis and enroll in four-credit APMU sections. All other music students receive 30-minute weekly lessons and enroll in two-credit APMU sections.

 

Secondary Area: Up to four semesters of one-on-one instrumental, vocal, or composition instruction for music majors in secondary performance areas or students in the Music Minor. Music majors receive 30-minute lessons on a weekly basis and register for two-credit APMU sections. Students in the Music Minor receive 30-minute weekly lessons and enroll in one-credit APMU sections.
