DANC 102 - Introduction to Dance

Introduces dance as communication, ritual, social, entertainment, somatics, and art.  Explores the genres of dance including ballet, modern, jazz, musical theatre, tap, social, and world, throughout history from the perspective of global cultures. Analyzes, evaluates, and interprets the creative process of choreography through viewing, writing, discussing, and performing dance.
