ECON 101 - Basic Economics

Description: Employs basic microeconomic terminology and models such as scarcity, trade-offs, and the role of prices in determining production and the allocation of resources.  Examines basic macroeconomic indicators including gross domestic product, unemployment and inflation.  Explains how economic analysis tools are used by government public policy makers and the Federal Reserve. (Course intended for students who do not plan to take more than 3 cr of economics. May not be taken after successful completion of or concurrent registration in any other Economics course other than ECON 143 Financial Wellness.)
