Description: Demonstrates chemical knowledge in the following areas that have applications for health professions: measurements, dosage calculations, chemical equations, gases, solutions, acids and bases, hydrocarbons, and organic functional groups. Analyzes chemical processes in a quantitative manner, using examples from the area of health and nutrition in both lecture and laboratory.
