Description: Develops a fundamental knowledge of anatomical and physiological concepts as it applies to physical activity, physical education, fitness, and health of children and adolescents. Specific body systems presented will include skeletal, muscular, cardio-respiratory, and nervous. Each system will be addressed as they pertain to various components of health-related fitness including muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, aerobic capacity, power, and other characteristics related to physical activity, health and physical education.
