SAFE 220 - Hazardous Materials and Emergency Management

Prerequisite: (CHEM 101 or CHEM 111) and SAFE 101
Corequisite: None.
Restriction: Safety, health, and environmental applied sciences majors or minors only or instructor permission
Description: Provides a basic understanding of the storage, transportation, and use of hazardous materials in business. Discusses hazardous materials, specifically their definitions, categories, properties, regulations, and evaluation. Includes critical principles of emergency management, with both private and public sector elements.
