CDFR 315 - Introduction to Early Intervention Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3
Prerequisite: Grade of “C” or better in CDFR 218 , CDFR 224 , CDFR 310 Focuses on early intervention policies and laws that relate to services for children from birth to school age, including the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process. Special emphasis is placed on ways to assist families in their roles as team members in the early intervention process, taking social, linguistic, economic, and cultural diversity into consideration. Provides practical information needed when working in early intervention settings.
