Prerequisite: HIST 395 and junior/senior history, history/pre-law, or social studies education majors or by instructor permission An upper-division course emphasizing lecture, reading, discussion, and writing on specialized topics relating to historical issues of the United States of America. The theme varies from semester to semester according to the expertise of the faculty member teaching the course. May be repeated. (Offered as HIST 401 before 2014-2015.)
