Prerequisite: PHYS 112 or PHYS 132 An introduction to the theoretical and experimental concepts of the emerging field of nanotechnology. Prepares students from a wide range of disciplines for careers or higher studies in areas involving nanotechnology. Inherently interdisciplinary in nature, bridges across physics, chemistry, biology, and computer science. Covers the emerging role of nanostructure materials for current and future applications in the fields of electronics, energy, textiles, and medicine.
