SOC 428 - Child Abuse Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3
Prerequisite: SOC 151 or SOC 161 and Junior standing or permission of instructor Examines the prevalence, causes, and social implications of physical, sexual, emotional, and neglect forms of child abuse in society. Child abuse is studied from the individual, family, and societal-level perspectives. Potential intervention strategies will also be considered.
