SPLP 251 - Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Swallowing Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3
Prerequisite: Speech-language pathology and audiology major Corequisite: SPLP 242 Examines the structure and function of the body systems involved in speech production (i.e., respiration, phonation, articulation) and swallowing and an introduction to the nervous system. Normal variances based on age, gender, and race are included. Comparisons between normal and disordered clinical presentations are introduced.
