SAFE 346 - Fundamentals of Ergonomics Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3
Prerequisite: Restricted to MS Safety Sciences students only or by instructor permission. Explores the fundamental principles of human performance and its effect upon the safety and reliability of systems. Examines risk factors in workplace design associated with force, repetition, and posture using anthropometrics, biomechanics of motion, work physiology and human performance. Teaches ergonomic methods that analyze these risk factors.
