Prerequisite: MATH 100 or appropriate placement test score or permission of the Mathematical and Computer Sciences Department chairperson. Note: May not be taken after successfully completing either a calculus course or MATH 110 without written MACS Department chairperson approval. Description: Analyzes and interprets numerical, graphical, and algebraic representations to model complex situations using mathematical structures and increase problem-solving skills. Focuses on polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and basic right triangle trigonometry.
