MATH 107 - Business Mathematics Class Hours: 3 Lab/Discussion: 0 Credits: 3
Prerequisite: MATH 100 or appropriate placement test score, for majors in Eberly College of Business. This course may not be taken after successfully completing a calculus course without written approval from the Mathematical and Computer Sciences Department chair. Corequisite: MATH 108 . A student who has already passed MATH 108 can take 107 alone. Description: Focuses on polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic business models. Explores methods to appropriately analyze and interpret numerical, graphical, and algebraic data sets generated from business applications. Introduces the central ideas of calculus with particular emphasis to business applications of derivatives and integrals.
