The Department of Language, Literature, & Writing focuses on Oral and Written communication in English, through study in the practice of writing and literary analysis and in the following other languages: Chinese, French, German, and Spanish. The department offers instruction leading toward teaching certification in the areas of English and Spanish, and offers the BA in English and Spanish as well. Persons interested particularly in the study of languages may earn minors or certificates in those areas. We also offer a certificate in ESL.
