Ethics Certificate

The Ethics Certificate enables students from any major to gain a deep understanding of the different ethical issues we face today and develop the knowledge and skills needed to figure out how best to respond to these issues. Students will examine ethical theories and principles as well as their application to various contemporary ethical problems. This certificate consists of 12 credits taken from a range of ethics-focused philosophy courses, allowing students to choose those that are most aligned with their personal interests and/or professional needs. Completion of the certificate will prepare students to be able to better articulate, evaluate, and navigate the difficult moral situations they will encounter in their personal, professional, and civic lives.
