The Public Health and Community Nutrition Minor provides students with foundational knowledge and skills to promote health, prevent nutrition-related diseases and conditions, and advocate for needed food and nutrition programs and services to help groups, communities, and populations. The minor consists of 18 credits including at least 6 credits from 300-level or higher courses. The minor provides a strong complement to extend specialized knowledge in public health and community nutrition for students in majors such as nursing, biology pre-medicine, public health, and political science.
