The sociology program gives students the broadest possible training in sociology. It educates students who wish to pursue graduate training in sociology and make sociology a career and profession. The sociology program is flexible enough for current undergraduate students to pursue a double major in fields such as human development and family science, criminology, political science, and psychology. Students graduating with a major in sociology often find employment in community development, non-profit organizations, research, business, industry, education, and government.
