Earning an Economics Minor(1, 2, 3) adds a marketable knowledge skill set broadly recognized across business, banking, nonprofit, and government sectors.  Economic analysis can be applied to problems and issues that are central to local, regional, national, and global economies, so the Economics Minor provides students with greater versatility for problem solving when confronted with unexpected challenges and can allow individuals to follow a career path increasingly in their desired niche.

(1) Minor course requirements must be completed with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.

(2) Neither ECON 101 nor ECON 143 counts as an ECON controlled elective.

(3) A maximum of three credits from ECON 493 Internship in Economics may be used to count towards the Economics Minor.
